Simulation System for comprehensive Minethrower Skorpion Training (Einstell-, Prüf- und Abfeuergerät Skorpion / EPAG)
As prime contractor e.sigma delivered this state-of-the-art training system for the minethrower SKORPION to the German Army School of Engineering and the Federal Office of Defense Technology and Procurement (BWB). The training system EPAG is used for the training of commanders of the mine thrower System SKORPION without need of using the weapon system itself.
EPAG consists of a simulator with a fully functional SKORPION vehicle replica and a PC based visual system with 360° high resolution LCD projection system. The system EPAG can be setup in a classroom environment. With its equipment for exercise generation, exercise control and debriefing, the EPAG Trainer provides intensive and comprehensive training of critical tactical scenarios. Furthermore a modern classroom with multimedia presentation equipment and online monitoring / offline debriefing capabilities for larger audiences is integrated.
The system includes five geo-specific databases. The real-time visualization of geo-specific data supports a near-reality landscape comparable to present deployment areas.
