
The Parachute Mission Simulator is a new high-performance product from e.sigma Systems and is based largely upon Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) components. The Parachute Mission Simulator allows the training and rehearsal of air drop operations for any region in the world with real-time visualization of geo-specific databases. The system supports both realistic free-fall and parachute glide and thus covers the operational spectrum from High Altitude - Low Opening (HALO) and High Altitude - High Opening (HAHO) modes. All parachute steering aids, emergency systems and navigation systems can be simulated for normal and malfunctioning operation.
The Mission Planning and Database Generation Stations are the core element of the Parachute Mission Training System and contain stationary and field deployable units. Both allow rapid generation and visualization of geo-specific scenery from aerial photographs and other data sources by utilizing e.sigma Systems’ unique e.scene database generation and visualization process and software subsystem. The System is based upon Commercial-of-the-Shelf (COTS) PCs and includes digital photogrammetric, high resolution scanners and high end processing software.
