The Egress Procedure Trainer is developed for training of egress-related pre-flight, flight and post-flight procedures, as well as planned and unplanned ejections. The Cockpit replica includes functional control elements, which are necessary for egress procedure training. For egress procedure non training related elements, 2D pictures and mock-ups are used to provide the pilot with an immersive cockpit feeling. The Egress Procedure Trainer can be integrated with replicated and /or original equipment.
Sound and light effects, as well as movement of the harness, legs retractors and seat jolting are used to simulate ejection in a realistic, but safe manner. The cockpit is fitted with sensors, which relay status of various elements, as well as proper head and foot positions of the pilot for safe ejection procedures.
The Egress Procedure Trainer allows the instructor to insert simulated faults / emergencies into the EPT to verify the aircrew trainee's knowledge of egress procedures. The EPT allows the instructor to communicate with the aircrew trainee through an intercom and headset or helmet.
