Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation-Centers offer optimal possibilities for continuous experimentation of complete weapon-systems, or following individual components from conception, through the design phase to their final implementation. The test runs offer input data useful for the optimization of Systems and individual components, independent of whether these react to area based visual or infrared rays.
Another application is to rate the performance of already existing systems. Testing their combat efficiency in ground and air-borne target simulation tasks, in the case of sensors, for the track behavior and deception capability with optic/optronic response techniques.
