• Aim Point Detection

What distinguishes this product from other Aim-Point-Detection systems is its leading edge design. Externally located lasers and weapons based passive receivers, where combined to create a training environment of utmost safety, accuracy and reliability. This unique concept was development in e.sigma’s laser research-facility; the product prides itself to be the technological market leader.

In general, compared with familiar camera based systems, preference was given to laser based aim-point-detection devices, since they host the following advantages:

  • Higher resolution
  • Larger Field of sight
  • Shorter sampling rate
  • No image processing required
  • Every device knows its position

As is the case in e.sigma shooting simulators, the system finds application in the detection of target points on a projection screen. In Aim-point-detection, lasers projects an infrared pattern onto a screen, at the aim location are optical passive-receiver equipped weapons that are able to pick up and define the imaged target points with great precision.

To accommodate the training needs of entry level candidates as well as Special Forces, like snipers e.sigma simulators employ a high resolution infrared pattern projection method. Using this technique precise aim-point detection with superb accuracy is achieved, especially over long distances; the prerequisites for reliable target hit recognition.

To guarantee maximum safety for instructors and trainees, e.sigma shooting-simulators boasts the following qualities:

  • Lasers don’t reside in the weapons
  • Use of phase-bundled, class 1 laser semiconductors
  • Utilization of laser spectrum range infrared- and radar-motion detectors
